Students interested in learning about the 2011 D-Term study abroad opportunities are invited to attend information sessions Thursday, Feb. 24, in various classrooms in Goldspohn Hall. The sessions will take place from 12:15 to 1:45 p.m. and students can attend as many as they want.

Just a reminder: Applications for study abroad during fall term are due 5 p.m. Monday, Jan. 31, in the Office of International Programs. The fall term programs include Costa Rica, England and China/Japan. These opportunities are part of the 50 semester-long study abroad programs the College offers. Jack Shindler, professor of English and director of international programs, and Kimberly Larsson, assistant to the director of international programs, gave presentations at the Association of International Educators (NAFSA) Conference June 1-4, in Kansas City, Mo. Some 7,000 educators attended worldwide. Shindler was chosen from among 11 other presenters nationwide to give his session at the international conference.

Students can choose from a record number of 10 programs that will visit 13 different countries during the College’s D-Term in December 2010. If you missed today's information session, the next one will be held Tuesday, April 13, in Goldspohn classrooms. The courses are available to all undergraduates, even first-year students in fall 2010 are eligible to enroll in some. New D-Term courses this year include studies in India, Turkey, Spain, Northern Ireland, Peru and Rome. Repeat offerings include Brazil, London and France.
