SIFE store opens on campus, hosts open house in Chicago

Just in time for Mother’s Day May 8, the NCC SIFE store will open its doors at the 116 S. Brainard House, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting April 19, and will have a variety of gift items available for sale. Products from all of SIFE’s producing partners will be on display and include scarves, woven textiles, jewelry, craft items and coffee. Cash and checks will be accepted.

SIFE products now on sale at Anderson’s Bookshop

Thanks to the efforts of SIFE leader Cathy Utterback ’11, Anderson’s Bookstore has purchased an inventory of NCC’s Best alternative-trade products to sell in its Naperville store, starting May 26. With the closing of SIFE’s campus store, shoppers will still be able to purchase the following items, now at Anderson’s: Conscious Bean coffee and textiles from Guatemala, scarves and jewelry from Kenya, wooden bowls and hand-painted booklets from Costa Rica, necklaces and bracelets from Uganda and tote bags from Wheaton.
