For the seventh year, North Central will host Relay for Life, an American Cancer Society event that gives people a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and raise funds to fight the disease.
To date, $24,000 has been raised with 435 people and 57 teams participating. But there’s still time to donate, join a team or start one. The April 30-May 1 event will be held on the Al B. Carius Track at the Res/Rec Center.
Co-chairs are Melony Kohlmeier ’11 and Elizabeth Zelz ’11. Team check-in starts at 4 p.m. with opening ceremonies at 6 p.m.
