Associate professors of education Kristine Servais, Maureen Kincaid and Nancy Keiser presented a paper about their collaborative leadership model that was inspired by the late Lora Tyson and has been successfully integrated into the College’s teacher education program.
They presented their paper at the Association of Teacher Educators Conference in Chicago in February and submitted it for publication to the journal of the National Council of Professors of Educational Administration.

Some 33 students attended a Preservice Session for education majors at the Feb. 15 annual conference of the Association of Teacher Educators (ATE). The daylong events included sessions by top educators on classroom management strategies, passion for teaching and more. The students were joined by Maureen Kincaid, associate professor and chair of education, and Geraldine Crider, director of the Teach First Program.
“This was a wonderful professional opportunity for our students, especially since it was a national conference,” said Kincaid.
