SIFE students head to Guatemala to advance business

Ten students who are actively involved in Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) left Naperville Nov. 30 for a two-week visit to three communities in Guatemala. They will meet with coffee growers in San Lucas Toliman, do consulting work, produce marketing pamphlets in English, share the processes and products that have worked well, and give formal presentations on what happens to products once they’re in the United States.

SIFE students featured in new video series

A group of North Central College students are featured in a new video series about the coffee trade. The Mission Coffee Can series chronicles how North Central College students work with Guatemalan growers to sell their coffee in the United States. The premiere episode of Mission Coffee Can will debut online on Feb. 24. Visit the Mission Coffee Can site to watch a trailer about the series and to learn more about the project and its participants.
