North Central College will recognize Earth Day, held worldwide every year on April 22 and involving more than 1 billion people, with a series of activities Monday through Saturday, April 22-26. Activities include educational discussions, documentary screening, tree planting and service project.

To celebrate Earth Day, which officially falls on Sunday, April 22, the student club Green Scene will host two “green” events on April 24 and 26. Both campus events are free and open to all students, faculty and staff.

In honor of Earth Day and in preparation for Cornerstone Week, the College’s Office of Community Development and the Naperville Park District are looking for volunteers (students and student groups, faculty, staff) to roll up their sleeves and help clean the Riverwalk on Saturday, April 16.

Today is Earth Day. But this Saturday, April 24, Naperville for Clean Energy and Conservation (NCEC) will celebrate the occasion with a community fair at North Central's Res/Rec Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Titled “Bring Green To Your Home,” the free event will feature live entertainment, expert presentations, green product and services exhibits, free electronics recycling and prizes. North Central will have a table at the event to promote the College’s many green initiatives and provide tours of the Res/Rec Center.
