With the unveiling of a new history book about the College—“North Central College: 150 Years. A Promising Start.”—the campus community will have multiple opportunities during the weekend-long Sesquicentennial and Homecoming Celebrations to hear from the authors, purchase the book and have the authors sign copies.

Ann Durkin Keating, Dr. C. Frederick Toenniges Professor of History, and Mary Kay Hyett, office manager, Office of Community Development, will be inducted to the Naperville Heritage Society’s Heritage Hall of Honor Sunday, Aug. 1, at 2 p.m. at Naper Settlement. The yearly recognition honors people and organizations that have made significant contributions to preserving the history of Naperville. Keating will be recognized for her historical contributions.

Ann Durkin Keating, Dr. C. Frederick Toenniges Professor of History, was a guest speaker Feb. 28 during the Niles Historical Society meeting at the Niles Historical Museum. She discussed Chicago area history, based on her book “Chicagoland: City and Suburbs of the Railroad Age.”
