There’s still time for students to attend the free Chicago Graduate and Professional School Fair, hosted by the University of Illinois-Chicago (UIC), on Thursday, Oct. 8, from 3 to 7 p.m. at UIC. In addition, students have an opportunity to take free practice exam tests for the GRE, MCAT and LSAT on Saturday, Oct. 17, in Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium. This is hosted by Kaplan. The City of Naperville is poised to celebrate when the International Olympic Committee announces the host city for the 2016 Summer Olympics on Oct. 2 around noon. A street festival celebrating Naperville’s community spirit will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 2, along Chicago Avenue between Main and Washington Streets. The campus community is encouraged to take part in the celebration as well. Students are encouraged to gather on campus in The Cage or Geiger Hall lounge around the TV monitors to see and hear the news broadcast starting at 11:15 a.m.
