The Department of Fine and Performing Arts invites faculty, staff and their family members to attend a special performance on Dec. 10 in appreciation for work performed during fall term. The evening of free entertainment includes a foot-stomping performance by fiddler Natalie MacMaster with vocal accompaniment by the Young Naperville Singers starting at 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10, in Wentz Concert Hall. Tickets for the concert are free for faculty and staff. To reserve your seat, RSVP by Tuesday, Dec. 8, to the North Central College Box Office at 630-637-SHOW (7469).

With the holidays already here, the College will host some 15 fine and performing arts events—more than any previous season. Several Christmas concerts, from the Naperville Chorus, Ricky Skaggs and Chicago a cappella to dance and theatre productions, such as The Nutcracker, Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol and 500 Clown Christmas, will be staged in College venues. With all seven competing runners earning All-America status, the Cardinals decimated the field, finishing with just 50 points, the fourth-lowest winning total in the meet's history. Runner-up Williams College finished with 181 points, giving North Central the largest margin of victory ever at the NCAA Division III Men's Cross Country National Championships.

Faculty and staff can choose among 11 different classes offered during D-Term as part of the annual Technology Training Day on Thursday, Dec. 3. Classes range from learning about Groupwise calendar, PowerPoint and Access to Blackboard, Smart Board and library research. The men’s cross country team looks to win its 13th national title on Saturday, Nov. 21, at Highland Hills Golf Course in Cleveland, Ohio. The NCAA Division III Cross Country National Championship race is scheduled to begin at noon Eastern time. Go Cards!!
