Sandy Marchetti read selections from her original works for an audience of students, alumni and community members at Keikhofer Hall. She graduated from George Mason University in 2010 with an M.F.A. in creative writing (poetry). Her debut full-length collection of poems – titled “Confluence” – will be published in 2014 by Gold Wake Press. An illustrated press edition of her essays and poetry titled “A Detail in the Landscape” is also forthcoming from Eating Dog Press.

The Daily Iowan, the newspaper of the University of Iowa, interviewed Jack about his new book, "Native Soulmate: A Season in Search of a Love Homegrown." Jack says it's part love story, part adventure story and an exploration of current issues that concern rural and small-town Iowa and the Midwest.

Richard M. Eastman, Alumni and friends share four decades of memories, North Central NOW Fall 2009

North Central College lost legendary teacher and academic visionary Richard Morse Eastman (H) ’93, professor of English emeritus, on June 17, 2009. He died at his longtime Naperville home at age 92.

After his 36-year career as a professor and dean and vice president of academic affairs, Eastman’s influence continues to be acknowledged by countless alumni who, under his dedicated tutelage, became better writers, readers, speakers and thespians. Many give him direct credit for their successful careers.
