College honors five with Outstanding Alumni, Wall of Witness awards

North Central College will present four Outstanding Alumni Awards and a Wall of Witness Award during a Homecoming Weekend ceremony at 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22.

Oct. 7, 2010—North Central College will present four Outstanding Alumni Awards and a Wall of Witness Award during a Homecoming Weekend ceremony at 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22, in Wentz Concert Hall at the Fine Arts Center, 171 E. Chicago Ave.

The four Outstanding Alumni Award recipients are Katheryn M. Agne Dutenhaver, Richard L. Easterday, Richard Honer and Dane Scag. The Wall of Witness honoree is the Rev. Robert Harman.

The tribute concert features vocalists Dee Alexander, Spider Saloff, Frieda Lee and the 40-piece Chicago Jazz Orchestra conducted by Jeff Lindberg performing the best of Fitzgerald’s “Songbook” recordings, including those of Duke Ellington, George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Jerome Kern and Harold Arlen.
