Three North Central College students presented at the Academy of International Business Midwest chapter conference, held March 26-28 in Chicago. They presented along with their North Central faculty supervisor Robert Moussetis, professor of international business, chair of management and marketing and coordinator of graduate business programs.

Future educators consider ethical dilemmas, moral courage Feb. 19

North Central College’s education department will facilitate a brown bag lunch discussion on Feb. 19 about moral courage as it relates to the area of education.

The discussion will take place at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, in the second floor Gramarosso Gallery at the Res/Rec Center. All students are invited, especially those interested in education.

Moussetis, Cavenagh, Hanlon present paper on strategic business leadership

North Central College faculty Robert Moussetis, Tom Cavenagh and Brian Hanlon presented paper that won Leadership and Leading Track Award at conference.

North Cental College faculty members—Robert Moussetis, associate professor of international business and chair of management and marketing/Bus; Thomas Cavenagh, Schneller Sisters Professor of Leadership, Ethics and Values, professor of business law and conflict resolution, director of leadership, ethics and values, and coordinator of master of leadership studies program; and Brian Hanlon, Coleman Foundation Professor of Entrepreneurship and assistant professor of marketing—presented an award-winning paper at international conference.  

Cavenagh recognized for outstanding editorial work

Tom Cavenagh, Schneller Sisters Professor of Leadership, Ethics and Values, received the Austin Fleming Editor Award as editor-in-chief of ADR publication.

Tom Cavenagh, Schneller Sisters Professor of Leadership, Ethics and Values, was recently awarded the Austin Fleming Editor Award for his role as editor-in-chief of the Illinois State Bar Association publication “In the Alternative.” This award is the highest prize given to Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA) editors.

The congratulatory letter from the ISBA read, “That makes you a member of a small, elite group of editors who, since 1981, have been recognized for truly outstanding service to the ISBA.”

North Central College students meet U.S. Supreme Court justices

Four North Central College sophomores recently met two U.S. Supreme Court justices as part of their studies in Washington, D.C.

May 11, 2010—Four North Central College sophomores recently met two U.S. Supreme Court justices as part of their studies in Washington, D.C.

The four met justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Sonia M. Sotomayor while they were conducting interdisciplinary research about oral arguments presented before the Supreme Court.
