Art exhibit features works of two North Central College students

Art works by two North Central College students will be featured in a free exhibit during October.

The show, “Commonplace” will be exhibited Oct. 1-31 in North Central College’s Meiley-Swallow Hall Gallery, 31 S. Ellsworth St., Naperville. Students Megan Brooks of Aurora and Katie Hannan of Rockford took inspiration from regular encounters to create extraordinary art. The students’ works include painting, drawing, printmaking, digital photography, ceramics and sculpture.

North Central student selected to exhibit sculptures at DuPage art show

North Central College senior Tamarra Love was selected to display some of her ceramic sculptures at the DuPage Invitational Sculpture and 3-D Art Show.

The event is free and open to the public and takes place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 8, at Lilacia Park, 150 S. Park Ave., Lombard. The park is located one block north of Maple Street and Park Avenue.

Senior Art Show exhibits work of 18 North Central College students

Art works by 18 North Central College students will be featured in a free exhibit in two galleries May 16 through June 12.

The Senior Art Show will be exhibited in the Oesterle Library Gallery, 320 E. School St., and the Meiley-Swallow Hall Gallery, 31 S. Ellsworth St., both in Naperville. Students will greet visitors during an opening reception from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, May 16, in both locations.
