Ator is a graduating senior majoring in sport management with minors in wellness and coaching. She has been accepted to a graduate program in recreation administration at Illinois State University and will serve as special events and competitive programs graduate assistant.

Lou Groce ’11/M ’14, former graduate assistant to the sports information director, has landed a new job—one that’s perfectly suited for him.

Starting May 7, he’s the new director of media and information for the Midwest Conference (MWC), similar to the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW), but with 11 member institutions. He will handle all sports information duties for 20 sports among all the schools, manage the conference website and promote the MWC brand through various forms of written, visual and social media communications.

North Central College students host Entrepreneurship in Sport—a panel of four founders, owners, directors of local sport-related organizations—on Feb. 17.

North Central College students in the Introduction to Sport Management II class (HPE 251), Sport Management Association (SMA) and NCC Cycling & Multisport Club are hosting a panel discussion titled Entrepreneurship in Sport on Feb. 17.

The panel features founders, owners and directors of local sports-related organizations who will give short presentations and answer questions.
