Cornerstone Week kicks off Sesquicentennial Celebration

This year’s Cornerstone Week, May 16-20, kicks off the College’s yearlong Sesquicentennial Celebration and the campus community is invited to join the festivities. Old Main bells ring once again

Just in time for North Central College’s Sesquicentennial, the bells in the iconic Old Main tower are once again sounding chimes

Just in time for North Central College’s Sesquicentennial, the bells in the iconic Old Main tower are once again sounding chimes.

A team of campus workers recently installed a new computer-controlled system to make the bells operational for the first time in three years. The new system debuted in time to play the National Anthem on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, a date that also marked the beginning of the College’s 150th year.

It's Time to Celebrate!

North Central College is making plans to celebrate its Sesquicentennial! The academic year 2011-2012 promises to be a memorable milestone for the College, with special events, publications and displays on campus designed to remind alumni, students, faculty, friends and community members of the rich traditions that began with the founding of humble Plainfield College 150 years ago in 1861.
