Salvador Garza is a rehearsal assistant at Lyric Opera of Chicago after previously serving in similar positions with the Santa Fe Opera and Chicago Symphony Orchestra.

Courtney Blake is a language arts interventionist at Rollins Elementary School in Aurora, IL.

Grant Swanson '11

Grant Swanson teaches sixth grade at St. Francis Indian School on the Rosebud Lakota Reservation in South Dakota. After his first year of teaching under contract with Teach For America, he worked as a teacher-ranger at Yellowstone National Park. As a result, he was able to take his students on a weeklong field trip to Yellowstone through the program Expedition: Yellowstone! a curriculum-based educational program about the importance of the park.

Patrick Nebl '11

Patrick Nebl won the Bowling Green State University Schipper Award for Statistics, which is awarded to one graduate student in the university’s psychology department after the first year. The student who wins must perform highly in the graduate level statistics courses, help and teach others and create a good environment in these classes.

Derek Sulo '10

Derek Sulo is strength and conditioning coach for the College of DuPage Chaparrals. Sulo was an intern at Northwestern University while earning his master’s degree in sports administration there.

Brit Quinn '10

Brit Quinn is director of media outreach for Maria Kaupas Center in Chicago, a faith-based organization that focuses on spirituality, education, leadership and community building. Quinn may be contacted at bmvquinn@gmail.com.

Joe Norton '10

Joe Norton is full-time head coach for the Knox College wrestling program, located in Galesburg, IL. He served as a graduate assistant for the wrestling program at North Central College. As a student-athlete at North Central, he had 94 career victories on the mat and was a four-time NCAA regional place winner. He was ranked as high as ninth as an individual and was recipient of the Hammer Award in recognition of outstanding commitment and work ethic in NCAA Division III.

Mike Krieglstein '10

Mike Krieglstein is production manager for The Giving Tree Band from Yorkville, IL. The band has received international recognition and plans to tour as far as Australia, with other international dates to follow.
