John Petzke M ’98

John Petzke M ’98 was appointed chief technology officer of North Shore School District 112. He previously served as the executive director of technology for Oswego Community Unit School District 308. Petzke’s position combines the duties of director of information and media services and the learning coordinator for technology integration, which were previously two full-time positions at School District 112. He received a doctoral degree in educational leadership from Aurora University and a master’s degree in educational administration from North Central College.

Michelle LeDonne '09

Michelle LeDonne is the communications officer for the Lakeshore General Hospital Foundation in Montreal where she works in media and donor relations and is involved in fundraising and grant writing. LeDonne graduated from McGill University in February 2011 with a master of arts degree in English.

Bhavini Shah '98

Bhavini Shah was promoted to senior director of project management for Siemens Diagnostics in Deerfield, IL. She is responsible for managing the portfolio of strategic projects for the executive office and key communications to Siemens executive teams. She may be reached at s_bhavini@hotmail.com.

Christopher Ranallo '09

Christopher Ranallo is the head coach for the girls swimming and diving program and a physical education teacher at West Aurora High School. Previously, Ranallo coached for two years at Metea Valley High School as an assistant in the boys and girls aquatics program and worked with both boys and girls swim programs at Naperville North High School while student teaching. He has also coached water polo at Waubonsie Valley High School and for the Geneva River Rats summer youth swimming program.

David Thompson '99

David Thompson is the head men’s and women’s track and field coach at State University of New York (SUNY) at Oswego, a Division II school. Thompson specializes in sprints and jumps and has had success nationally both as a coach and athlete. At North Central, Thompson was an 11-time All-American and three-time national champion in the long jump, 400-meter relay and 200-meter dash. North Central won the men’s National Championship in 1998, when Thompson ran on the 400-meter relay and won the 200-meter dash.

Josh Seago M ’09

Josh Seago M ’09 is vice president of Naperville Bank and Trust where he directly manages a staff of retail-banking professionals and oversees its deposit portfolio. He earned his M.B.A. at North Central where he also continues to teach classes. Seago is co-founder of Lou Dog Events, a festival production and management company in Naperville, which is organizing the first Naperville Ale Fest in July 2013 at Naper Settlement. He is actively involved in the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce and is president of the Naperville Chamber’s Young Professionals Network.

Veronika Gagovic '01

Veronika Gagovic, M.D., returned to campus to speak to College Scholars and their families. She recounted the challenges she faced during her undergraduate and medical education and encouraged students to persevere and enjoy the journey. After graduating from North Central in biochemistry, Gagovic attended Loyola University Medical School and completed her internal medicine residency at Indiana University–Indianapolis. After a training fellowship in Madison, WI, she will start a private practice in gastroenterology.

Anna Zahn '09

Anna Zahn is a full-time mathematics teacher at Geneva High School. She accepted the full-time position in August 2012 after serving one year as a long-term substitute.

Elizabeth “Jan” Edgar '70

Elizabeth “Jan” Edgar, certified fund-raising executive (CFRE), is the executive director of the Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center Foundation in Joliet, IL. Edgar previously served as the director of development at the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) in Schaumburg, IL, where she created and led initiatives for annual major and planned gifts, corporate relations, cause and marketing, and awards and recognition programs. Before her work with the AAD, Edgar served as the first executive director of the Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village, IL.

Mark Myers '01

Mark Myers is the choir director at Waubonsie Valley High School in Aurora, IL. Myers’ dedication to kids and his passion for teaching choral music has won him the respect of students, parents and professional peers. In spring 2012 he was honored with the National FAME Aspire Award, a vocal Vanguard Award based on nominations from fellow members of the Academy of Show Choir Professionals from around the country. Myers directs the school’s seven choral groups and has taken his students to competitions and festivals at the Opera House in Sydney, Australia, St.
