Revived Naperville Marathon attracts top alumni

North Central College alumni—three men and three women—were among the top 5 finishers in the Nov. 10 Naperville Marathon and Half Marathon.

North Central College alumni were among the top finishers in the Naperville Marathon and Half Marathon, which started and finished at the College’s Residence Hall/Recreation Center on Nov. 10. The first male runner across the finish line in the marathon was Yonatan Mascote ’13, and first among the women in the half marathon was Amber Druien ’07.

“A Student-Centered Community” is the fourth of the five-part documentary series “A Promising Start,” which commemorates the College’s Sesquicentennial. The segment will premiere at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 6, in Madden Theatre at the Fine Arts Center, 171 E. Chicago Ave. Complimentary refreshments will be served.

Oct. 19, 2011—North Central College invites the public to the free premiere of the third part of a documentary series produced with Naperville Community Television that chronicles the College’s 150-year history.

“Challenges of the Post-World War II Years” is the third of the five-part documentary series “A Promising Start,” which commemorates the College’s Sesquicentennial. The segment will premiere at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7, in Madden Theatre at the Fine Arts Center, 171 E. Chicago Ave. Complimentary refreshments will be served at a reception beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Chicago Ave. Complimentary refreshments will be served.

The exhibit was displayed Aug. 1 through Aug. 7 in the College's Schoenherr Gallery in the Fine Arts Center. More than 20 Monarch Landing residents exhibited their original artwork, including paintings, metal sculpture, fiber arts, photography and Japanese book-binding.
