Dorothy Pleas, North Central College director of multicultural affairs, and Nicole Rivera, visiting assistant professor of psychology, presented a session titled, “Strengthening the First-Year Experience Through a Summer Bridge Program for At-Risk Students,” at the Midwest First-Year Conference at Northern Illinois University on Sept. 28.

North Central College observes its annual Anti-Hate Week, Oct. 1-5. Started by students in 1998, Anti-Hate Week is a week-long campaign designed to educate and raise awareness about various forms of oppression and discrimination.

Students travel nationwide to serve, build, sing

During North Central College’s spring break, more than 100 students will travel across the country on service trips, choir tour organized by the College.

During North Central College’s spring break, March 14-25, students will travel across the country through trips organized by the College. Some 65 students will participate in a variety of service trips and another 50 will be on tour with the Concert Choir.
