North Central College - Naperville, IL

Finding her calling two blocks from campus

Kara Mason ’10/M ’12 is leading an effort in Naperville to provide local teens with safe, supervised gathering space and activities. In February, Mason was named executive director of NaperBridge, a new drop-in teen center for Naperville middle and high school students. Tucked off an alley leading to Washington Street, the welcoming space holds comfortable furnishings, a flat-screen television, video games and enough equipment for small musical performances. Area teens can drop by after school and on weekends to complete homework, socialize and receive mentoring.
