Patricia King, North Central College lecturer in English, has been named fiction editor at Kore Press, a literary press founded in 1993 and located in Tucson, Ariz. The press publishes poetry, fiction and nonfiction by women.

As fiction editor, she will advise the publisher and cofounder, serve as a representative of Kore Press at the Association of Writers and Writing Programs annual conference, and work with the annual winner of Kore’s Short Fiction Award to prepare the story for publication as a chapbook.

King’s short story wins contest and publication

Patricia King, adjunct assistant professor English, won the Kore Press 2011 Short Fiction Award for her short story “The Death of Carrie Bradshaw.”
