Jonathan Mueller, North Central College professor of psychology, coauthored an article, titled “Undergraduates’ ability to recognize correlational and causal language before and after explicit instruction,” that was published in the October 2013 journal Teaching of Psychology. The journal offers research-tested strategies to enhance student learning. His coauthor is Heather Coon, former North Central College professor of psychology.

North Central College’s Jon Mueller, professor of psychology, and Daniel VanHorn, assistant professor of psychology, receive award for poster presentation.

North Central College’s Jonathan Mueller, professor of psychology, and Daniel VanHorn, assistant professor of psychology, are recipients of the 2013 Doug Bernstein Award from the National Institute on the Teaching of Psychology (NITOP) for their poster presentation titled “Fantasy Researcher League: Engaging Students in Psychological Research.”

Jonathan Mueller, professor of psychology at North Central College, was keynote speaker at the recent Critical Thinking for Student Success convocation sponsored by Delgado Community College in New Orleans, where he delivered the address, “Developing Student Critical Thinking.”
