North Central College begins Sesquicentennial year with record enrollment

North Central College begins its Sesquicentennial year with record enrollment of more than 3,000 students.

Sept. 6, 2011—North Central College begins its Sesquicentennial year with a record number of students.

The College—which on Nov. 11 will mark the 150th anniversary of its 1861 founding—anticipates total enrollment to exceed 3,000 as the 2011-2012 academic year begins. The year is expected to begin with more than 2,700 undergraduate students and nearly 300 graduate students.

College reports record enrollment for fifth straight year

The College anticipates 888 new students fall term. Total enrollment is expected to be about 2,900, including about 2,600 undergraduate students.

Sept. 2, 2010—For the fifth straight year, a record number of students will attend North Central College.

The College anticipates 888 new students when fall term classes begin on Monday, Sept. 13. Total enrollment is expected to be about 2,900, including about 2,600 undergraduate students.

About two-thirds of new students are first-year students who graduated high school in 2010, while about 300 are students transferring from other schools. New students are coming to North Central from 17 states and 22 foreign countries.

Students from other colleges may attend summer school at North Central

Enrollment is underway for summer school at North Central College. Courses are open to students from other colleges and North Central students.
