Michael Kornfeind earns Outstanding Major in Literature Award

Michael Kornfeind was awarded the Outstanding Major in Literature Award during the 2013 Honors Convocation at North Central College.

Michael Kornfeind, son of Marjorie and Michael Kornfeind of Aurora was awarded the Outstanding Major in Literature Award during Honors Day May 14 at North Central College.

A senior, Michael is majoring in English literature at North Central College. He has served as a tutor for the Writing Center, as a preceptor for English courses and engaged in independent studies. His name regularly appears on the Dean’s List. He is a graduate of Waubonsie Valley High School.

Rachael Hilton earns Outstanding Major in Journalism Award

Rachael Hilton was awarded the Outstanding Major in Journalism Award during the 2013 Honors Convocation at North Central College.

Rachael Hilton, daughter of Bonne and Michael Hilton, of Naperville was awarded the Outstanding Major in Journalism Award during Honors Day May 14 at North Central College.

A senior, Rachael is majoring in print journalism. She transferred to North Central as a junior and has been a reporter for The Chronicle, the College’s student-run newspaper. Her name has regularly appeared on the Dean’s List.

Andrew Smith was awarded the Outstanding Major in English Award during 2013 Honors Convocation at North Central College.

A senior, Andrew is majoring in English writing at North Central College. He is a graduate of Naperville Central High School.

North Central College alumna Rachel Louise Snyder ’92 will give a talk on ethical issues in the “post-sweatshop” world at 7:30 p.m. Monday, May 6, in Meiley-Swallow Hall. The free event is part of the College’s yearlong focus on global human rights.
