Radio interview to preview opening at museum of student-faculty film exhibit

Brian Failing ’14 and Steve Macek, North Central College associate professor of speech communication and coordinator of urban and suburban studies, will be featured on Rick Kogan’s WGN live radio show Sunday, May 18. “After Hours with Rick Kogan” runs 9-11 p.m. on 720 AM; Failing and Macek will be on air 10-10:30 p.m. This program had originally been scheduled for May 11, but was preempted.

Steve Macek, North Central College associate professor of speech communication and coordinator of urban and suburban studies, and Brian Failing ’14, double major in history and urban and suburban studies, presented a paper at the conference titled The Point is to Change It: Media Democracy and Democratic Media in Action.

While other students his age are hoping to find an internship, Brian Failing ’14 is hoping to find interns. As museum curator of the Museums at Lisle Station Park in Lisle, IL, Failing’s priorities involve scheduling tours, recruiting volunteers, planning programs and finding interns who could help with an inventory of artifacts and improving display cases and signage.
