Art exhibit features works of two North Central College students

Art works by two North Central College students will be featured in a free exhibit during October.

The show, “Commonplace” will be exhibited Oct. 1-31 in North Central College’s Meiley-Swallow Hall Gallery, 31 S. Ellsworth St., Naperville. Students Megan Brooks of Aurora and Katie Hannan of Rockford took inspiration from regular encounters to create extraordinary art. The students’ works include painting, drawing, printmaking, digital photography, ceramics and sculpture.

Princeton Review names North Central among tops for video game design

The Princeton Review has named North Central College’s interactive media studies program among the top 50 video game design programs in North America.

(March 1, 2010—The Princeton Review has named North Central College’s interactive media studies program among the top 50 video game design programs in North America.

The Princeton Review and GamePro magazine selected the best institutions in the United States and Canada that offer video game design studies. Eight top programs were ranked, and North Central is among 42 others recognized as distinguished.

Senior musical "Pippin" bursts with show-stopping songs and dance

North Central College students will present "Pippin," a hip, tongue-in-cheek fairy tale.

North Central College students will present "Pippin," a hip, tongue-in-cheek fairy tale and winner of 11 Tony Awards by Oscar-winning composer/lyricist Stephen Schwartz. Four performances will be staged at 7:30 p.m. March 4, 5 and 6, and at 2 p.m. March 7 in Pfeiffer Hall, 310 E. Benton Ave., Naperville. Tickets are $15/adult and $10/students and senior citizens; call the North Central College Box Office at 630-637-SHOW (7469). The story of "Pippin" takes place once upon a time, when a young prince Pippin longs to discover the secret of true happiness and fulfillment.
