For the third straight year, North Central College earns spot among The Princeton Review’s top green colleges for its ongoing sustainability efforts.

For the third straight year, North Central College joins The Princeton Review’s list of “greenest” colleges in North America for its ongoing commitment to sustainability.

The Princeton Review, in partnership with the U.S. Green Building Council, released its fourth annual “Guide to 322 Green Colleges: 2013 Edition.” The book includes a list of standards for judging some 806 colleges, as well as descriptions of each college’s environmentally conscious features.

North Central’s electric vehicle charging station is ready to use

North Central College introduces new sustainability effort, installs first electric vehicle charging station at Old Main parking lot for campus community use.

As part of an ongoing effort to support sustainability values and actions into all aspects of campus life, North Central College has installed its first electric vehicle charging station, making it easier for members of the campus community to own and use electric cars.

The electric vehicle charging station is ready to use and situated on the sidewalk in the Old Main parking lot off Loomis Street. The station can charge two vehicles simultaneously in two adjacent parking spaces and may be used free of charge by any North Central College student, faculty, staff or campus visitor.
