Broadcasting student paired with alum to cohost radio morning show

Anna Kopsky '14 has joined the staff of WSSR-FM/Star 96.7 as news and traffic reporter and co-host of the "Cooper In The Morning Show."

Many North Central College alumni have successful careers in radio, largely thanks to the strength of the College's broadcast communication program and student-run radio station, WONC-FM 89.1.

But sometimes broadcasters begin their professional careers while they're still students. That's the case of Anna Kopsky '14, who has joined the staff of WSSR-FM/Star 96.7. She can be heard from 5 to 9 a.m. weekdays delivering news and traffic reports and serving as co-host of the "Cooper In The Morning Show."

Princeton Review names North Central College among nation’s best colleges for 2013

The Princeton Review has once again named North Central College a Best Midwestern College in its annual survey of the nation’s best colleges.

North Central College is among a select group of institutions nationwide highlighted by The Princeton Review in “The Best 377 Colleges, 2013 Edition.”

Only about 15 percent of America’s 2,500 four-year colleges are profiled in the book, which is based on the Princeton Review’s surveys of 122,000 college students. The Princeton Review began surveying college students and publishing its findings in 1992.

David DePino earns 2012 Outstanding Student in Forensics Award

David DePino of Wheaton was awarded the 2012 Outstanding Student in Forensics Award during Honors Day May 15 at North Central College.

DePino is a senior with majors in history and political science at North Central College. He is the son of Mark and Davida DePino and is a 2009 graduate of Wheaton North High School.

Derrick Wynn of Darien was awarded the 2012 Outstanding Major in Communication Award during Honors Day May 15 at North Central College.

May 22, 2012—Derrick Wynn of Darien was awarded the 2012 Outstanding Major in Communication Award during Honors Day May 15 at North Central College.

Wynn is a senior majoring in speech communication with a minor in philosophy at North Central College. He has been accepted to Worsham College in Wheeling where he will study mortuary science. He is the son of Robert and Susan Wynn and is a 2008 graduate of Downers Grove South High School.
