North Central College graduate named Fulbright Scholar

April 30, 2010—Parker Gadbois, a 2009 graduate of North Central College, has been named a Fulbright Scholar and will teach English in Taiwan.

Gadbois was awarded a highly prestigious Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship (ETA) Award for 2010-2011. He begins his 11-month assignment on Aug. 1 and will receive $30,000 of support and additional funds for language study.

Feb. 2, 2010--North Central College's Chinese Club will host its annual Chinese New Year Festival from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, in the Harold and Eva White Activities Center, 325 E. Benton Ave., Naperville.

Jan. 18, 2010--North Central College invites people of all ages to experience the many cultures from around the world and in the community at the College's 14th Annual International Festival on Feb. 14. Visitors can sample authentic international cuisine, enjoy ethnic dancing to live music and join in on games and crafts from around the world.
