Artwork of two North Central College students is featured through March 31 in the exhibit “Adventures in Wonderland.”

“Adventures in Wonderland” includes ceramics, paintings and mixed-media artwork created by seniors Molly Christine and Angela Block. The exhibit runs March 6 through March 31 in the Meiley-Swallow Hall Gallery, 31 S. Ellsworth St. An artist reception will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 30; complimentary refreshments will be served.

Students from any college may enroll in summer credit courses at North Central College

Students attending any college or university can enroll in summer credit courses at North Central College.

Registration is underway for a variety of academic courses that most often can be applied toward graduation requirements at a student’s home institution. National Conferences on Undergraduate Research accepts 32 proposals by 34 students, placing North Central in nation’s top 5 percent for most acceptances.

North Central College students will showcase their original research in biology, chemistry, psychology, literature, the arts and other fields at the National Conferences on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) in April.

NCUR has accepted 32 proposals by 34 North Central students for presentation at its annual conference. NCUR promotes research, scholarship and creative activity in all fields of study and accepts only top submissions by undergraduate students.

Studio art major Lauren Wohlrab ’14 is chosen by Paramount Theatre as its featured artist in the annual North Central College Aspiring Artist Student Exhibit.

Lauren Wohlrab ’14, a studio art and interactive media studies/graphic arts double major, was chosen by Paramount Theatre as its featured artist in the annual North Central College Aspiring Artist Student Exhibit. Her works will be on display from Feb. 1 through March 25 in the Grand Gallery at Paramount Theatre, 23 E. Galena Blvd., Aurora.

An opening reception will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1, at the gallery. Admission is free to the exhibit and reception with a cash bar.

North Central College will showcase works by fiber installation artist Jan-Ru Wan in the exhibit “ReMaterialization/Relive Memory” Jan. 11 through March 24.

The exhibit is free and open to the public in the College’s Schoenherr Gallery at the Fine Arts Center, 171 E. Chicago Ave. An artist reception will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11; complimentary refreshments will be served.

North Central College will showcase work by local artist Laura Lein-Svencner in an exhibit Jan. 13 through March 7.

The exhibit is free and open to the public Jan. 13 through March 7 in the College’s Oesterle Library Gallery, 320 E. School St., Naperville. Lein-Svencner will greet visitors and give an artist’s talk during a reception from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22; complimentary refreshments will be served.

A monthlong art exhibit showcases work by two North Central College art education seniors, Samantha Rapp of Hinsdale and Alyssa Coy of Oswego.

Titled “Lifelines,” the exhibit includes paintings, drawings, mixed media and sculptures that reflect the values and creativity of the artists. The free exhibit is open to the public and on display through Jan. 31 in the College’s Meiley-Swallow Hall Gallery, 31 S. Ellsworth St.
