For Tyler, the actuarial science program is a formula to success.

“North Central tailors actuarial education to the actuarial exams, which are key to entering the professional field,” he says. “It’s hard work, but very rewarding.”

Tyler is involved in Math Club and Actuarial Science Club, where students prepare for exams in groups and listen to professionals from the field. His hard work is paying off: Tyler already passed his first actuarial exam and will be taking his second exam prior to his senior year.

He plans to pursue a career as an actuarial scientist at an insurance company after graduation and is confident North Central has given him the tools he needs for the competitive field.

“Being an actuary is an attractive career; it’s one of the top jobs in the country. My professors have helped me succeed in college and are preparing me for success in my career.”
