The Shimer Great Books School at North Central College

North Central College has successfully acquired the Shimer Great Books program of Shimer College and will integrate the program onto North Central’s Naperville, Illinois campus.

Students of the Shimer Great Books School began taking classes in this unique program in the fall of 2017. Students interested in studying in the Shimer Great Books School should contact the North Central College Office of Admission at 630-637-5800, admissions@noctrl.edu or by visiting northcentralcollege.edu/apply.

Shimer College Student Accounts

Questions regarding Shimer College student accounts, tuition payments and financial aid can be directed to the Business Office at North Central College by contacting Jessica Holt (630-637-5569), Annette Roemer (630-637-5677), Kelly Lane (630-637-5682) or by email at busoffice@noctrl.edu.

Transcripts for Former Shimer College Students

North Central College has assumed custodial responsibility for Shimer College student academic records.  Students may obtain their transcripts through North Central College’s Office of the Registrar.

To request a Shimer College transcript, former Shimer students should order their transcripts through Parchment via the Shimer College Transcript Request Form. If you have questions you may contact the Office of the Registrar at 630-637-5252 or registrar@noctrl.edu.
