Favorite thing about North Central:
The combination of our campus location in Naperville’s Historic District, right next to downtown, with easy access to Chicago as well as the experience and personalities of our faculty and staff members. North Central is a friendly campus community!
Words I use to describe North Central students:
friendly, involved, approachable, and they like challenges! People say “hi!” when you walk around campus!
Why did I choose to become an admission counselor/staff member at North Central?
I had prior admission experience at a small college, and North Central has always had a great reputation both as an academic institution and also as an active, professional admission office in our state admission association. I knew several people on staff here and it was a great personal and professional opportunity! I love being a Cardinal!
Favorite Naperville Restaurant:
Breakfast: Egg Harbor; Lunch = Front Street, Bar Louie, Café Buonaro; Dinner = Ted’s Montana Grill or Hugo's Frog Bar . Outdoor Patio Dining: Jimmy’s Grill or Potter’s Place.
Favorite Season in Naperville:
Spring, Summer and Fall because the weather is nice and it is comfortable to walk around campus, the Historic District and downtown Naperville, there’s lots to see and do. Winter can be fun too you just have to bundle up too much!!!
Advice to Students:
Visit your colleges, and apply EARLY for transfer admission AND financial aid. Being admitted sooner lets you register earlier, which gives you a wider choice of classes at registration time. Don’t let college costs eliminate a top choice for transfer until you’ve discussed your financial aid package with a counselor at the school. Be sure you get a “good, gut feeling” about your transfer college choice, and what they have to offer you for academics, activities, social life and making connections for a future career. Did you meet with faculty members and ask questions??? Is it the right place for you to call “home” for your college years??
Follow Transfer admission on Twitter and Facebook, and check out the College’s web communities page since there are lots of things going on all over campus throughout the year.
