Jessica Hart Web & Internet Applications Graduate Student
Jessica received her bachelor’s degree from North Central and chose the Web & Internet applications graduate program based on one of her experiences. "I found out that North Central is a great school—great professors, great classes and great community. Browsing other schools’ computer courses, I realized North Central was unique in offering an entire degree in the Web programming niche. It was the natural choice for my graduate degree."
Because she majored in modern and classical languages, with a minor in English and interactive media studies for her bachelor's degree, Jessica saw the connection between foreign and computer languages. The different patterns and syntax of spoken language gave her a comfort level with programming languages. As an undergrad, Jessica created a Web site about Caligula, the Roman emperor who ruled from 37 to 41 A.D. Now she has ambitions of creating the next big historical video game. "I’d love to eventually incorporate both my knowledge of classics and computers into a career."
