Di Di Foley Master of Leadership Student
With a B.A. in radio, Diana Foley wanted a graduate degree that would build on her supervisory experience and open more opportunities. "The Leadership degree will be helpful in higher education, where I work now, but who knows where life will take me. The curriculum can be applied in many roles and life experiences." As the Copley Campus Manager at Waubonsee Community College, Diana manages the extension campus and front-line staff at the Sugar Grove, Aurora and Plano campuses. "The classes have fostered ongoing critical thinking to effectively motivate and work alongside many different people. This not only has changed my perspective but has assisted me in proposing changes in my professional work as well as my personal life." In addition to applying what she learns in class, Diana is integrating her personal interests about contemporary families and gender roles into her thesis project. "I am looking at working vs non-working parents, stay at home dads, working moms, life/work balance, work compensation and more."
