International Business Administration

With more than 95 percent of the world’s population living outside the United States, employers increasingly need managers equipped with international experience and specialized training to take their goods and services to the global marketplace. One of the Chicago region’s only master degrees in international business administration (M.I.B.A.) can help you make the most of this challenge—whether you seek a new job or want to advance your current career in business, government or the nonprofit arena.

In our distinctive program, hands-on experiences include a required travel abroad project and an optional internship. In addition to international finance, international marketing and international management, new specialized courses include:

You’ll develop a comprehensive understanding of global business markets, international trade and economics, and the technological, social and ethical issues that face managers who operate domestically and internationally. You’ll also acquire the cultural awareness and experience you’ll need to effectively work abroad. All on a campus that’s just a short commute from Chicago, a hub of international business activity and home to more than 1,500 foreign-based companies and nearly 80 consulates/consuls general.
