Shanghai University of Finance and Economics
Especially designed for students interested in international business and economics, this program is offered on the downtown campus of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, recently selected as one of the 21st Century's Key Universities in China. Students study Chinese language 12 hours per week in addition to taking courses in English that include marketing, economics, management and finance. Additional activities and a field study tour to Guangdong Province and Hong Kong provide a firsthand encounter with China's rapidly changing business environment. Students with at least two years of Chinese may elect to participate in the internship program, where they may be placed in Chinese or multi-national companies. All students are housed in the International Student Dormitory, and will live with Chinese roommates. No prior study of Chinese is required.
Junior or Senior standing; GPA 3.0 preferred with successful completion of at least one business and one economics course before departure.
Housing and Meals
Students are housed in the International Student Dorm in double rooms with a Chinese roommate. Meals are available at the campus cafeteria.
Students pay tuition plus $3000 program fee.
