Program Evaluation Meeting
Let's talk about it!
Unlike the meme to the right, we are excited to hear about students' experiences abroad and the evaluation of their programs -- both the good and the bad!
As part of the GLS 277 course, and the NCC re-entry process, returnees are required to attend their program's evaluation meeting. The evaluation meeting provides a platform for recent returnees to provide vital program feedback both positive, as well as suggestions for improvement. We ask that you also complete a written evaluation form and submit it at your evaluation meeting. We will also go over the process of transferring credits/grades from abroad back to North Central.
Unless a student was the only North Central College student who participated in their program, students will attend their evaluation meeting as a group with other students from their respective program.
Again, student attendance is required. You will see below that meetings have been scheduled during community time, so class schedules should not be a problem. Students should adjust all other commitments to be there.
Program evaluation dates and information for all returnees are listed below:
January 5: NCC-in-Costa Rica, 12:15-1:45pm
January 12: NCC-in-China/Japan, 12:15-1:45pm
January 17: NCC-in-England (Canterbury), 12:00-1:00pm
DEREE-The American College of Greece in Athens, 1:00-2:00pm
January 19: UPO in Sevilla (Spain), 12:00-1:00pm
Universita Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan (Italy), 1:00-2:00pm
January 24: Alliance - Shangai University of Finance and Economics (China); 12:15-1:45pm
January 26: Universidad Vina Del Mar (Chile), 12:00-1:00pm
University of Glasgow (Scotland), 1:00-2:00pm
All program evaluation meetings will be held in the Center for Global Education at the Abe House, 48 E. Jefferson Avenue.
If you do not see your program evaluation meeting listed above, it is because a small number North Central College students participated in your study abroad program. You will be receiving an e-mail soon from Kimberly Larsson, Whitney Ewing, or Rebecca Pugh to schedule your program evaluation meeting individually.
Please remember, attendance at your program evaluation meeting, plus your written evaluation, is REQUIRED as part of the NCC re-entry process. We really look forward to seeing each of you and receiving your program feedback, both orally and written. We welcome your opinions/suggestions and appreciate your honesty. THANK YOU!
