Kyoto Gakuen University in Kameoka, Japan

Exchange Program Offered  Fall/Winter Terms

Kyoto Gakuen (KGU) is a private institution of 3,900 students, located near Kyoto.  The hillside campus provides opportunities for NCC students to join clubs, and use athletic facilities, computer centers, a cafeteria, student health services, a campus bookstore and library.  Most students have individual or small-group Japanese language tutoring and, depending on their level of Japanese proficiency, may also take economics, business, law, and humanities courses taught in Japanese.  Kameoka, a city of 95,000 just outside the historic former Japanese capital of Kyoto, is internationally known as a center of Japanese culture and Buddhism.  KGU is ideally located for students to explore the many sites of Kyoto, while Kameoka provides a relaxed setting among spectacular mountains.  Optional internships are available for studying fall and winter terms.
