Direct Enrollment Program
The University of Ghana is located just eight miles northeast of Accra, Ghana's capital. Established in 1948, the university began awarding degrees in 1961. Visiting students can take advantage of Balme library with over 350,000 volumes, language labs, counseling centers, and the International Centre for African Music and Dance. Program participants enroll as full-time students while in Ghana, choosing courses in such fields as literature, microbiology, political science, philosophy, mathematics, and local language and culture - all taught in English.

Eligibility Requirements:
Junior or Senior standing. GPA 3.0 preferred, with substantial course work in major.
Academic Credit:
12-15 credits depending on courses selected.
Housing and Meals:
Double rooms in international student dormitory provided; meals in campus cafeteria or self-catered.
Estimated Costs:
NCC fall tuition plus $3000 program fee. Fees include placement, airfare, and housing. Fees do NOT include meals, health insurance, departure tax, visa fees, books, or personal travel and spending money.
Participants must attend a Saturday orientation in Missouri during spring term.
