Located in the heart of Tokyo, Aoyama Gakuin University (AGU) was established by Methodist missionaries in 1874. The institution took its present form in 1949 when it became a comprehensive university comprising six schools and colleges with both undergraduate and graduate programs. The university is well known for its international ambiance, offering more than 40 courses taught in English, ranging from general education to literature, law, economics, international politics and business, and science. More than 100 courses taught in Japanese are open to exchange students each semester. Total enrollment in the university is approximately 17,000 students.

NCC Eligibility Requirements:
Junior or Senior standing. GPA 3.0 preferred; minimum two years of Japanese.
AGU Academic Calendar:
The Office of International Programs DOES NOT advise student to purchase flight tickets until they have received an OFFICIAL acceptance letter from the host institution.
NCC Academic Credit:
Varies by course load; usually 9-12 NCC credits per term.

Financial aid is applicable to this program, however, all study abroad students should meet with a financial aid representative during the spring term to determine any changes/adjustments in their financial aid package.
