Brian Hanlon

Coleman Foundation Professor of Entrepreneurship and Small Business

Brian Hanlon  holds the Coleman Foundation Professor of Entrepreneurship and Small Business endowed chair at North Central College.  He was named the chair's second recipient in 2011 and is an assistant professor of marketing.

Hanlon received a B.S., M.B.A. and juris doctor from DePaul University. A member of North Central College's faculty since 2006, he teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in entrepreneurship, business law and marketing. He serves as a faculty advisor to students in the Phi Alpha Delta pre-law organization and to the College's American Marketing Association student chapter. Hanlon frequently consults leading real estate developers in the United States and Europe and regularly presents his research at business and academic conferences.

The Coleman Foundation Professor of Entrepreneurship and Small Business was first presented to Gary Ernst in 1999.  The Coleman Foundation Professor of Entrepreneurship and Small Business chair is endowed by the Coleman Foundation, established by entrepreneurs Dorothy W. and J.D. Stetson Coleman, to encourage self-sufficiency and self-employment through entrepreneurship education.
