Model United Nations
The North Central College Model United Nations program gives you the opportunity to participate in two simulations that replicate the actual United Nations agenda. The four-day, inter-collegiate simulations are held in Chicago and New York. Participants gain insights into contemporary international diplomacy, and improve their research, writing, speaking and leadership skills. North Central has sent students to the simulations since 1981.
Students who have participated have found the experience to be invaluable:
“This was my chance to bring together all that I've studied in a practical way.”
“Model UN changed my life because now I have a much better understanding of how the world works.”
Model UN is ideal for students who wish to pursue careers in international affairs or law or go on to graduate school.
