Become eligible for a State of Illinois Elementary Certificate
Minor in Secondary Education

Become a teacher of art, English, foreign language (Spanish, French or German), mathematics, music, physical education, science (biology, chemistry, or physics), or social science (history).

Become eligible for a State of Illinois Secondary Certificate (English, mathematics, science, or social science) or for a Special Certificate (art, foreign language, music, or physical education)
Minor in Reading or in English Language Learning (ELL)

Acquire additional course work to become effective in teaching reading to elementary students

Or working with English as a second language students in elementary, middle or high school.
